The goal of the game is to score points by being the last Beyblade spinning, by knocking the opponent’s Beyblade out of the stadium, or by bursting the opponent’s Beyblade. The first player to reach 3 points wins the match.
Setup Rules
1. Stadium: All matches must be played in an official Beyblade stadium with walls to contain the Beyblades.
2. Beyblade Selection: Each player must select one Beyblade, either factory-made or customized, and use only that Beyblade for the duration of the match.
3. Starting Player: Use a coin toss, dice roll, or similar method to determine which player launches first. Alternate launchers in subsequent rounds.
Gameplay Rules
Launching: Both players must launch their Beyblades simultaneously after the countdown: “3...2...1...Let it Rip!”
Scoring: Points are awarded as follows:
1 Point - Survivor Finish: The last Beyblade still spinning wins the point.
1 Point - Ring Out Finish: A player wins 1 point if their Beyblade knocks the opponent’s Beyblade out of the stadium.
2 Points - Burst Finish: A player earns 2 points if their Beyblade causes the opponent's Beyblade to burst into separate parts.
Winning: The first player to reach 3 points wins the match. If both players reach 3 points simultaneously, play additional rounds until a winner is determined.
Additional Gameplay Rules
Launching Area: Players must launch their Beyblades from a designated starting spot without leaning over or altering their launch angle excessively. Players must agree on the starting spot prior to the match.
Mislaunches: Each player is allowed only one mislaunch (a launch that fails to release properly) per match. After one mislaunch, the player forfeits the round if another mislaunch occurs.
Out of Bounds: If a Beyblade immediately exits the stadium after launching, it counts as a Ring Out Finish, awarding 1 point to the opponent.
Customization and Equipment Rules
Custom Parts: Players may use customized Beyblades, but all parts must be officially approved and in fair condition. Metal-tipped launchers or parts that could cause excessive damage to an opponent’s Beyblade are not allowed.
No Part Swapping: Players are not allowed to change their Beyblade or any of its parts during a match unless the match is explicitly set to allow part-swapping between rounds.
Optional Rules
Spin Direction Change: Players using reversible Beyblades (with clockwise or counterclockwise spin) may change the spin direction, but must inform the opponent before the match begins.
Tag Team Battles: For team battles, each player may use multiple Beyblades. A team loses when all of their Beyblades are defeated. Players should follow the same rules for launching, scoring, and customization for each Beyblade in a team match.
